The Christopher Columbus cemetery - this is the original cemetery, and the "important" families have crypts here. The one in the middle with the flowers is that of a woman named Amelia who died in around 1900 in childbirth. People come and touch her statue and ask for her help. To the right are hundreds of pieces of marble that have been left as a thank you by people whose "wish" has come true. The guide said that we could make a wish but if it came true we would have to return with a piece of marble.
